
For a long time, “remote work” felt like a moving target.
Everywhere I looked, someone was promising flexibility, freedom, and financial relief — usually wrapped in urgency and vague guarantees. Work from anywhere. Set your own hours. Finally be present with your kids while making real money.
What rarely matched those promises was reality.
Most remote work options weren’t built for people with limited capacity, unpredictable schedules, or nervous systems already stretched thin. They required constant availability, emotional labor, or relentless self-promotion. They assumed quiet houses, uninterrupted focus, and energy that many mothers simply don’t have.
I didn’t need another dream.
I needed something legitimate.

A lot of things are technically possible.
